DMTC Seeks Collaborative Project Proposals in Medical Countermeasures

25 May 2022

DMTC is an independent, not-for-profit company that creates, manages, directs and delivers successful industry-research collaborations involving multiple partners to enhance sovereign defence and national security capabilities, consistent with Government policy and priorities.

Health Security Systems Australia (HSSA) was established in 2021 as a division of DMTC and aims to build sovereign industrial and research capability in line with Australia’s health security priorities.

The Medical Countermeasures (MCM) Program, led by Health Security Systems Australia (HSSA), is focused on the development of vaccines, therapeutics and diagnostics for the protection of military and civilian personnel against chemical, biological and radiological (CBR) threats, emerging infectious diseases and pandemics.

HSSA is currently seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for collaborative project proposals focused on the following priority themes:

  • Anti-infective therapeutics, including against antimicrobial resistance
  • Vaccine products or platform technologies for infectious disease threats
  • Medical Countermeasures against chemical threats

EOI proposals can be submitted through the link in the sidebar and must include a completed Quad Chart of no more than one page, using the template provided. Please refer to the Supporting Information document for background information and details about the submission.

Questions about the EOI should be sent to mcm.eoi@dmtc.com.au, having first looked at the FAQs to ensure your question hasn’t already been addressed.

EOI submissions must be made by 11:59pm AEST on 30 June 2022.

An information session and Q&A was presented as a webinar on 9 June. A recording of this webinar is available here.
